What Can Mom's Home Cookin' Do? Here are some of the kinds of events Mom's Home Cookin' loves to do: Concerts for General Audiences Funny, sad, poignant, thought-provoking, foot-stompin' – the songs and melodies we choose for a performance are selected to respond to the ages, interests and general mood of the audience we have in front of us. We think on our feet, and try to get to know our listeners. Our material is appropriate for all ages. Concerts for Family Audiences Upbeat music of general interest, with some sing-alongs. Optional percussion demonstration or workshop is possible: "Up Close with Limberjack Jack and his Horse" and "Spoons, Not Just for Lunch Anymore!" Concerts for Senior Audiences Upbeat material, with an emphasis on music of historical interest to adults over 60, along with some popular favorites from the 1920s, 30s and 40s. Special Themes for Schools, Libraries, Town Celebrations and Holidays Mom's Home Cookin' is happy to tailor a performance to address topics covered in school curricula, and for civic holidays such as Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Election Day and others. Fairs and Festivals Mom's Home Cookin' is pleased to do most outdoor events. We prefer to be under cover to protect instruments and equipment from sun and rain showers, and can bring our own "ez-up" cover if needed. Private Functions Traditional American tunes and fun songs, quiet ballads and up-tempo material - we can tailor a set to match the mood and setting of your party.
